RMCA Homeschool Program K-12 Current Classes

CURRENT CLASSES K-8

We offer interactive, hands-on learning experiences for K-8.

 

Each day includes:

K-8 Grades: Monthly character trait

K-8 Grades: Language Arts (writing, novel studies and research papers for 3rd-8th)
K-8 Grades: Hands-on science, including dissection for 2nd-6th
K-6 Grades: Critical thinking skills
K-8 Grades: Skills based PE and team activities (for 7th/8th) (Students may also join the sports teams at full time RMCA)
K-6 Grades: Lego education (alternates with PE)
K-6 Grades: Art (systematic study of artists, techniques and art projects)
K-5 Grades: Music and winter concerts
4th Grade: Colorado history hands-on projects and famous Colorado person wax museum/dress up
6th Grade: Roman/Greek time period themed projects, Challenger Space Mission
7th Grade: Medieval time period themed projects, Entrepreneurship class, World Geography, Challenger Learning Center mission, Improvisation class
8th Grade: Computer Literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Google, etc.), Speech, Study Skills and Challenger Learning Center mission, Improvisation class

 

(Students may also participate in sports, and other extra curricular activities,

at the full time RMCA campus.) 

High School Science Lab

CURRENT CLASSES 9-12 Grade

 

Our high school program is designed to provide an atmosphere that fosters growth in maturity, a strong foundation of character and an opportunity to develop the necessary study and personal habits needed to be successful in the future.  After the foundation is built, our program becomes a stepping stone to other options that your high school student may pursue such as concurrent college enrollment, CLEP testing, etc., to complete their transcript.  We have an active student body with monthly social activities. 

 

Entrance Requirements: Potential students must pass entrance exams to show high school readiness in both math and English, to be admitted to our program. Limited space available.

 

 

English and Composition:  American Composition and Literature, World Composition and Literature, English 11/12 Composition and Literature

 

History/Social Studies:  U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government (one semester) and Speech (one semester)

 

Math:  Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus

 

Science:  Forensic Science, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and Physics

 

Electives:  Personal Finance (1 semester), and College and Career Readiness (if the schedule permits).

 

Social Activities: Spirt wear, Yearbook, Winter Party/Dance, Spring Formal, Community Service & other events
