We are excited to invite all Colorado home educated students grades K-12, regardless of district of residence, to join our program!

 

WHO WE ARE:

Rocky Mountain Classical Academy Homeschool Program, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a tuition free, publicly funded charter school program serving K-12 homeschool students.  Limited van space is available for Woodland Park.

WHAT WE OFFER:

K-8th Grades

  • Content rich core and elective classes 
  • FREE K-8th curriculum, including manuals and consumables for home use 
  • FREE access to 10 levels of Susan Barton Reading and Spelling System
  • FREE Iowa Test of Basic Skills for all 2nd-8th grade program students 
  • FREE access to a books and resources lending library 
  • ALL classroom supplies provided with a small supplies fee – no SUPPLY LISTS!  

 

9th-12th Grades

  • Core classes in English, History, Lab Sciences and Math 
  • Classroom textbooks and materials provided with a small science lab fee 
  • Student social events
  • PSAT testing for 8th and up (for a fee) 
  • Bridge to concurrent college enrollment 
  • College, career and concurrent college enrollment counseling   

UNIFORMS: 

All RMCA students wear uniforms in compliance with Board policy. 

STANDARDIZED TESTING:

ITBS testing is provided free of charge for grades 2nd - 11th.

PSAT testing is provided for students enrolled in grades 7th-11th for a fee.

 

VAN RIDES AVAILABLE:  

A school van transports students to and from Woodland Park.    

 

HOW TO START THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS:  

 

Please submit a signed Letter of Intent (LOI) to Enroll form to our office and your student will be put on a waiting list.  Click on the link below for more information.

NOTE: Students may enroll in ONLY ONE publicly funded program in Colorado per year 

 

Students must be five by 10/1/2024 for kindergarten and six by 10/1/2024 for first grade.

 

Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, students enrolling in kindergarten must be five years old and students enrolling in first grade must be six years old on or before June 1st.

 

Last day of enrollment is October 1st, 2024

K-8:

August 19, 2024 to

May 12, 2025

High School:

August 14, 2024 to

May 9, 2025

 

SCHOOL HOURS: 

8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

 

K-6th Grades:  

Students attend ONE day a week: Monday (nut free), Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday

 

7th & 8th Grades:

Students attend ONE day a week: Friday

 

High School: 

Students attend Wednesday and/or Thursday and/or Friday depending on schedule

Wednesday:  Math and Writing Lab
