RMCA Homeschool Program Information
We are excited to invite all Colorado home educated students grades K-12, regardless of district of residence, to join our program!
WHO WE ARE:
Rocky Mountain Classical Academy Homeschool Program, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a tuition free, publicly funded charter school program serving K-12 homeschool students. Limited van space is available for Pueblo.
WHAT WE OFFER:
K-8th Grades
- Content rich core and elective classes
- FREE K-8th curriculum, including manuals and consumables for home use
- FREE access to 10 levels of Susan Barton Reading and Spelling System
- FREE Iowa Test of Basic Skills for all 2nd-8th grade program students
- FREE access to a books and resources lending library
- ALL classroom supplies provided with a small fee – no SUPPLY LISTS!
Students must be five by 10/1/2023 for kindergarten
and six by 10/1/2023 for first grade.
9th-12th Grades

- Core classes in English, History, Lab Sciences and Math
- Classroom textbooks and materials provided with a small science lab fee
- Student Council opportunity
- PSAT testing for 8th and up (for a fee)
- Bridge to concurrent college enrollment
- College, career and concurrent college enrollment counseling
Last day of enrollment is October 1st, 2023
NOTE: Families may enroll in ONLY ONE publicly funded program in Colorado per year


CURRENT CLASSES K-8
We offer interactive, hands-on learning experiences for K-8.
Each day includes:
K-8 Grades: Monthly character trait
(Students may also participate in sports, and other extra curricular activities,
at the full time RMCA campus.)
CURRENT CLASSES 9-12 Grade
Our high school program is designed to provide an atmosphere that fosters growth in maturity, a strong foundation of character and an opportunity to develop the necessary study and personal habits needed to be successful in the future. After the foundation is built, our program becomes a stepping stone to other options that your high school student may pursue such as concurrent college enrollment, CLEP testing, etc., to complete their transcript. We have an active student body with monthly social activities.
Entrance Requirements: Potential students must pass entrance exams to show high school readiness in both math and English, to be admitted to our program. Limited space available.
English and Composition: American Composition and Literature, World Composition and Literature, English 11/12 Composition and Literature
History/Social Studies: U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government (one semester) and Speech (one semester)
Math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus
Science: Forensic Science, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and Physics
Electives: Personal Finance (1 semester), and College and Career Readiness (if the schedule permits).
Social Activities: Spirt wear, Yearbook, Winter Party/Dance, Spring Formal, Community Service & other events

High School: August 10, 2023
to May 7, 2024
School Hours:
8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
K-6th Grades:
Students attend ONE day a week: Monday (nut free), Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
7th & 8th Grades: Students attend ONE day a week: Friday
High School:
Students attend Thursday and/or
Friday depending on schedule
Wednesday: Math Lab

THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS:
Please submit a signed Letter of Intent (LOI) to Enroll form to our office and your student will be put on a waiting list.

UNIFORMS:
All RMCA students wear uniforms in compliance with Board policy.
STANDARDIZED TESTING:
ITBS testing is provided free of charge for grades 2nd - 11th. PSAT testing is provided for students enrolled in grades 7th-11th for a fee.
VAN RIDES AVAILABLE:
A school van transports students to and from Woodland Park and Pueblo.
