Welcome to the RMCA Homeschool Program Information Page
The RMCA Homeschool Program is now enrolling all Colorado home educated students grades K - 12 for the 2020-2021 school year. The last day of enrollment will be October 1, 2020. 
We are excited to invite all home educators, regardless of district of residence, to join our program! For K-8 students we offer a one-day a week fun, academic and content rich program that works in partnership and compliments the goals of home schooling families. High school students attend one or two days, depending on the number of courses taken, with a minimum of four courses required.
Students must be five by 9/15/2020 for kindergarten
and six by 10/1/2020 for first grade.
NOTE: Families may only enroll in ONE
publicly funded program in Colorado per year

High School: August 8, 2019 to May 8, 2020
K-8: August 19, 2019 to May 8, 2020
SCHEDULE: High School: 8:00 – 3:00 pm Thursdays or Fridays,
depending upon classes
K-8: 8:00 – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday
UNIFORMS: All RMCA students wear uniforms in compliance with Board policy. High school students wear a polo shirt and jeans.
STANDARDIZED TESTING: ITBS testing provided free of charge for grades 2nd - 11th. PSAT testing for students enrolled in grades 7-11. Accuplacer testing is also offered.
FIELD TRIPS:  Offered at different times during the year. 
VAN RIDES AVAILABLE:   A school van transports students to and from Pueblo on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and to and from Woodland Park on Wednesdays.

We offer interactive, hands-on learning experiences for K-8.
Each day includes:
K-8 Monthly character trait
K-8 Language Arts (writing, novel studies and research papers for 3rd-8th)
K-8 Hands-on science, including dissection for 2nd-8th
K-8 Math and critical thinking skills (includes study skills)
K-8 Skills based PE and team sports (for 7th/8th) 
K-6: Lego education (alternates with PE)
K-8 Core Knowledge Art (systematic study of artists, techniques and art projects)
K-5 Music/drama and performances

(Students may also participate in sports, and other extra curricular activities at the full time RMCA campus.)

Our high school program is designed to provide an atmosphere that fosters growth in maturity, a strong foundation of character and an opportunity to develop the necessary study and personal habits needed to be successful in the future.  After the foundation is built, our program becomes a stepping stone to other options that your high school student may pursue such as concurrent enrollment, CLEP testing, etc., to complete their transcript.  We have an active Student Council with monthly social activities. 


ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:  Entrance exams to show high school readiness in both math and English, must be passed in order to be admitted to our program


ENGLISH AND COMPOSITION:  American Composition and Literature, World Composition and Literature, English 11/12 Composition and Literature


HISTORY/SOCIAL STUDIES:  U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government (one semester) and Rhetoric/Speech (one semester)


MATH:  Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus & Trigonometry


SCIENCE:  Forensic Science, Physics, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Chemistry


ELECTIVES:  Leadership I and II (for Student Council members only - required).

The enrollment process begins when a parent submits a signed Letter of Intent (LOI) to enroll to our office.
